Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced its squad ahead of the six-match ODI series against Pakistani Shaheens.
With the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 on home soil only a month away, Zimbabwe has announced a strong squad to leave no stone unturned.
Zimbabwe squad includes the experienced trio of 37-year-old Craig Ervine, the left-handed Sean Williams and Tendai Chatara.
The 26-year-old Blessing Muzarabani and the left-handed pacer Richard Ngarava have also been picked alongside spinners Brandon Mavuta and Wellington Masakadza as well as all-rounders Ryan Burl and Wessly Madhevere.
The hosts would also be looking forward to giving seven or more other players a chance during the series other than the 14 selected in the squad.
ZC arranged six one-day series to help the Zimbabwe team to find some rhythm for the ICC Cricket World Cup’s qualifiers that will be held in their country.
Out of the ten teams competing in the qualifiers, only two teams will manage to cement their place in the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India later in the year.
